Please indicate your check in time, so that we are available to greet you at arrival.

Early check-in is not permitted in order to ensure adequate time for housekeeping to clean and sanitize guest rooms and common areas.

Your credit card on file will be charged the remaining balance of your reservation on the day of arrival and a receipt will be emailed to you.  If you prefer to use a different credit card for this payment, please let us know.

To guarantee your reservation, a 50% deposit is taken at the time of booking.

We require a seven day notice for cancellation. If the cancellation is made with less than seven days notice, then the full room rate for all nights booked will be charged.

Prior to seven days notice, cancellations will be accepted with a $50.00 processing fee (per room).

Departures before the scheduled departure date will constitute a cancellation, and monies will not be refundable.

Groups are defined as two or more rooms traveling together (even when paid separately). Payment in full is due at time of booking. There are no refunds for group cancellations.

When you book holiday and/or special event dates, we require a thirty day notice for cancellation. If the cancellation is made with less than thirty days notice, then the full room rate for all nights booked will be charged.

Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests. 

Rooms are configured for one or two adults only, with the exception of the Calaveras Room, which under certain circumstances can accommodate three adults.

The Black Bear Inn is an intimate, romantic and private haven, and is not recommended for children.

We are a completely Non-Smoking Property. No smoking, incense, candles, or anything with an open flame is allowed inside the inn or anywhere on the property, due to our location being in a high fire danger area.

We request no pets, please.

The Inn and grounds are open to guests only, unless arrangements have been made with the owners.
